TOADMAN'S TANK PICTURES

ABOUT ME(updated 27MAR16)

I'm Chris "toadman" Hughes. I've been building models off and on for the past 30 years or so. I've also been taking pictures of military vehicles periodically for about the past 20 years.

I spent 8 years in the US Army Reserve as a UH-1H helicopter mechanic and as single channel radio operator(RATT section). I'm married with two children and currently work as a residential real estate appraiser. I'm also a volunteer tour guide and offsite events coordinator at the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation

.

My photos have appeared in the following books and magazines:

My favorite modeling subjects are Shermans, especially post-World War II foreign aid exports along with US armor used by foreign nations after WW II. I'm also currently building quite a bit of 1/48 armor kits.

The majority of my early digital pictures were taken with a Sony Mavica. The vast majority of my pictures have been shot with a 6.1 megapixel Nikon D70 digital SLR. I am currently using a 12.3 megapixel Nikon D90 DSLR for my photos.
